Intelligent Traffic Management Systemsat Kullu in Himachal

The State Government sanctioned three Traffic cum Tourist Police Stations for the Kiratpur–Manali four-lane National Highway, anticipating challenges post-inauguration of the four-lane highway. 

The World Bank has signed an $82 million financing deal for the Himachal Pradesh State Roads Transformation Project, focusing on improving traffic flow and road safety.

Various measures, including critical analysis of accident data, technology use in enforcement, and procurement of monitoring tools, have contributed to this success, said Deputy DG TTR Gurdev Sharma.

The police are actively carrying out challaning through Intelligent Traffic Management Systems, installing 18 more ITMS on state roads, and providing scientific gadgets to district police for effective traffic management.

The initiatives have resulted in a safer road environment, and the police encourage the public to adhere to traffic rules for everyone's safety.
