Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu commended the Police department for their consistent achievement.

He said Himachal Pradesh Police has held the first position in the Hilly and North-Eastern States category for four consecutive years in CCTNS performance.

The accomplishment was attributed to the collective efforts of field-level Police officers and the State-level CCTNS team at the State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), guided by senior officers overseeing the CCTNS project implementation, according to the Chief Minister.

Director General of Police, Sanjay Kundu, thanked Chief Minister for his support and encouragement in enhancing the Police department's operations.

Kundu highlighted that the Government of India, MHA, and the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB), New Delhi, set predefined parameters in PRAGATI to evaluate the CCTNS project's implementation performance for all States/Union Territories (UTs) in India.

Himachal Pradesh fulfilled these parameters consistently, securing its top-ranking position.

Emphasizing the significance of the CCTNS project as a backbone of police operations in India, Kundu mentioned its pivotal role in ensuring high-quality investigations into major crimes. He concluded that Himachal Pradesh Police's continued top ranking, spanning 2020, 2021, 2022, and now 2023, underscores the department's dedication and has earned recognition from the NCRB/MHA in New Delhi.
