Among the prominent decisions, the Cabinet sanctioned the framing of Rules of Business and Procedure concerning the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog. Additionally, two Cabinet Sub-Committees were established to address pressing issues.
The first, under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, is tasked with scrutinizing the legal ramifications of pending results due to police inquiries pertaining to the now-defunct Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur. Comprising Ministers from various portfolios, including Industries, Revenue, PWD, and Ayush, this committee aims to ensure fair resolution.
Furthermore, another Sub-Committee, spearheaded by Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, will conduct a comprehensive review of revenue lands allocated to different departments, along with leased but underutilized lands. With a team comprising ministers from Rural Development, PWD, and Town and Country Planning, this committee aims to optimize land usage efficiently.
In addressing administrative needs, the Cabinet nodded to establish a Sub-Divisional Office (Civil) in Baddi, Solan district, along with Block Development Offices in Patta, Solan, and Palampur, Kangra district. This move aims to enhance administrative accessibility and effectiveness in these regions.
Moreover, the Cabinet approved the recruitment of personnel across various departments. Notably, five posts of Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services will be filled through direct recruitment, alongside vacancies for 'A' Class Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar positions in the Revenue Department.
Recognizing the need for enhanced child protection services, the Cabinet endorsed the creation of a new Patwar circle in Jharmajri, Baddi tehsil, Solan district, alongside requisite staffing. Additionally, personnel recruitment for crucial roles in the Planning Department and Assistant Tourism Development Offices in Kinnaur and Lahaul & Spiti districts was greenlit to bolster operational efficiency.
In alignment with the state's commitment to child welfare, the Cabinet approved the recruitment of four District Child Protection Officers under Mission Vatsalya.
