Talking to the media in Hamirpur today during his visit to the disaster-stricken region in Bhoranj assembly segment, he said despite financial limitations, the State Government remains committed to aiding affected families

The Vidhan Sabha session anticipates discussions on post-disaster effects and restoration strategies, he added. 

The recent disaster, triggered by heavy rains and landslides, prompted his visit to assess the situation and oversee relief efforts in the villages.

Sukhu directed the district administration to expedite relief and restoration work, acknowledging the challenges faced by displaced individuals.

He highlighted international recognition from NITI Aayog and the World Bank for the State's effective disaster management and relief operations.

Chief Minister Sukhu emphasized the Government's determination to overcome financial constraints in rehabilitating those impacted.

During the visit, Senior Citizen Council contributed Rs. 21 lakh, while Career Point University students donated Rs. 3 lakh to the Aapada Rahat Kosh (Disaster Relief Fund).

Prominent figures including MLA Suresh Kumar, Ashish Sharma, Chairman of Kangra Central Cooperative Bank, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Chairman of Agriculture and Rural Development Bank, Ram Chander Pathania, and Atul Karohta, Coordinator HP, Kaushal Vikas Nigam, were also present.
