HPCM IN Shimla comments on Interim Budget

CM Sukhu expressed disappointment in the lack of focus on strengthening the economy, citing the neglect of Himachal Pradesh's interests and absence of provisions for the recent disasters. Sukhu highlighted the omission of rail network expansion and rapid transit systems for hilly states.

He also criticized the budget for lacking a clear roadmap for green and solar energy initiatives, not providing additional tax relief for the middle class, and ignoring inflation control.

Contrastingly, BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal praised the budget, asserting India's economy had grown at 7 percent per annum for the last decade.

Bindal emphasized the budget's positive impact on youth, women, and farmers, citing increased infrastructure development, provision for 2 crore new houses, and support for Kisan Samman Nidhi.

He applauded the allocation of Rs 1 lakh crore for employment generation and research for the youth, along with the expansion of Ayushman Bharat and other beneficial schemes.

Bindal concluded that the budget focused on the development of the poor, youth, women, and farmers, positioning India as a future economic superpower.
