for stealing ECMs (Engine Control Modules) from vehicles in the jurisdictions of Aut, Mandi, Dhanotu, and Sundar Nagar police stations. Gupta was apprehended in Delhi.
During the investigation, a team from Mandi's Sadar Police Station recovered eight stolen ECMs – two from Verna cars and six from i-20 cars – from Delhi.
The police also seized the vehicle used in the thefts, a Hyundai i-20 with the registration number DL 1CM 8639.
"Abhishek Gupta's arrest is a significant step in curbing vehicle thefts in the region," said SP Mandi.
"We are committed to ensuring the safety of our citizens and their property.
The investigation is ongoing, and we are working to recover any additional stolen items from him he said.
