Leaving Candidates Disappointed

Shimla, October 26:

Due to major technical glitches, the Himachal Pradesh Police had to postpone the B-1 promotion test on Sunday, leaving thousands of candidates anxious and disappointed.

The online test was scheduled for the promotion of 4,461 constables across the state and was being conducted under the supervision of district SPs at designated centres.

The examination was planned in two shifts — a morning shift for 2,696 candidates and an evening shift for 1,765 candidates — to ensure smooth and transparent conduct.

However, technical problems disrupted the process, forcing the department to temporarily call off the exam to maintain fairness and uniformity in evaluation.

The police department expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and assured that a fresh date will be announced soon after the issues are resolved.

Candidates have been asked to stay in contact with their district police offices and follow official HP Police communication channels for further updates.

The department reaffirmed its commitment to holding all promotional and departmental exams in a fair, transparent, and merit-based manner.
