Also now on, Republic Day ceremonies will begin from January 23 till the Republic Day Parade on 26th every year. The Birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chand Bose is being celebrated as Parakram Divas since last year in the country.
The statue of Netaji is likely to be ready by August and will stand at India Gate forever.
Netaji had a strong Himachal's connection. One among the first civil servants of India in British's Indian Civil Service that showed the power of his intellect. His revolutionary zeal that led him to found and command the Azad Hind Fauj. Netaji had also visited Dalhousie in 1937 and stayed in a house of his doctor's friend there for many days to recuperate himself from illness that he had acquired in British jails.
In a publication, Netaji had hoped that after independence, the water bodies with health spas with healing properties.. there are many such water bodies and places like (Dalhousie) .. in Himalaya that need research and can be promoted as health centres so that people need not to go out .. ".
Prime Minister while unveiling the hologram statue in Delhi today said, “I bow to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his Jayanti. Every Indian is proud of his monumental contribution to our nation”. We should never forget Netaji's words, "I will never beg for freedom, I will take it". These words will inspire generations after generations to come", he said.
The hologram statue of Netaji will be at India Gate till the granite statue is completed. “The statue is befitting honour to Netaji on his 125th birth anniversary for his monumental contribution to our freedom struggle and would be a symbol of the country’s indebtedness to him”, Prime Minister said.
The hologram statue will be powered by a 30000 lumens 4D projector and an indivisible high gain 90% transparent holographic screen has been erected in such a way so that it is not visible to visitors. The 3D image of Netaji is projected on it to create the effect of hologram. The size of hologram statue is 28 feet in height and six feet in width.
Prime Minister also gave away seven Subhash Chandra Bose Aapada Prabandhan awards to the institution and individual for their contributions towards the disaster management for four years- 2019, 2020, 2021 to 2022. For institution, the award carries a cash prize of Rs 51 lakh and a certificate for an Individual it carries a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh and a certificate.
Modi said like security forces, the NDRF and state disaster management authorities across India are doing yeomen service to the nation in mitigating disasters whenever these strike. They have won the confidence of the common man in the country, he added.
