BCS in Shock: Three Class 6 Boys Vanish on Mall Road Outing, Police Clueless
SHIMLA: Shimla’s prestigious Bishop Cotton School (BCS) is in the dock after three Class 6 students mysteriously went missing during a school outing to The Mall Road on Saturday — a first-of-its-kind shocker in the school’s history.
The boys, hailing from Kullu, Karnal, and Mohali, were part of a group that had gone for a weekend excursion.
They have been identified as Vedansh, Angad and Reetendra.
But while others returned to the hostel by evening, these three never made it back.
What’s worse — they weren’t even accompanied by a staff member at the time.
Since yesterday, Shimla Police have been scouring the city, but the trail remains cold.
Were they kidnapped? Did they lose their way? Or, chillingly, were they drugged? Nobody knows.
As panic spreads, anxious parents — including those of the missing boys — have rushed to BCS, demanding answers and questioning how the school could allow minors to roam the city unsupervised.
For a school that prides itself on discipline and tradition, this lapse is raising some uncomfortable questions about student safety.
Shimla SP said the police team have been constituted to trace out the missing boys. The drones have been deployed to search out the kids.
The CCTV camera footage is being examined to get the leads the police said.
Old cottonians have expressed their concern over the incident.
