Relenting Monsoon Brings Relief to Farmers, Road Restoration Gains Pace
Shimla, Sept 8: With the monsoon rains finally relenting, apple, vegetable, and other farmers across Himachal Pradesh are breathing a sigh of relief. The lull in downpour is expected to speed up the restoration of battered roads, helping growers dispatch whatever little produce is left in their orchards and fields to mandis.
According to the IMD, scattered rainfall was recorded at several places in the past 24 hours. Mandi (41 mm), Gohar (40 mm), Nahan (35.4 mm), Paonta Sahib (30.8 mm), Narkanda (24.5 mm), Sarahan (20.5 mm), Manali (12 mm), Bajaura (6 mm), and Sainj (NA data) received significant showers.

IMD has forecast scattered rain with isolated thunderstorm/lightning activity over the next few days.
