SHIMLA — The Rotary Club of Shimla Royal is set to host a mega blood donation camp on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Cafe SID, located near Tenzin Hospital in Panthaghati, Shimla. The drive will begin at 11:00 AM.
The camp forms part of a multi-state humanitarian drive spearheaded by Rotary International District 3080. Encompassing clubs across Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and the Union Territory of Chandigarh, the coordinated campaign commemorates Deen Dayal Jayanti.
Participating clubs are working toward a collective goal of setting a world record for the highest voluntary blood collection, said Er Pankaj Dadwal, Chartered President.
Beyond the record attempt, organizers emphasized that the primary mission is to ensure a stable supply of safe blood for critical patients across local healthcare facilities.
The leadership of Rotary Club of Shimla Royal has issued an open appeal to local residents, professionals, and youth to participate in large numbers.
Noting that voluntary blood donation represents a vital service to society, club officials highlighted that every unit collected plays an immediate role in saving lives.
