SDRF Team Reaches Out to Cloudburst-Hit Thunadi Village, Provides Relief to 120 Residents
Kullu, July 4: In a swift response to the recent cloudburst incident, a team of the Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Response Force (HPSDRF) on Thursday reached the remote Thunadi village to assess the damage and provide urgent relief.
The SDRF team distributed essential relief material, dry ration, and life-saving medicines to over 120 residents, including elderly people, patients, and vulnerable families.
The team ensured that those cut off due to damaged approach roads were attended to on priority.
Fortunately, no deaths or missing persons have been reported from the area so far, officials confirmed.
Speaking about the visit, officials said, “The situation in Thunadi is under control. Our teams will continue to monitor the area and support the affected families.”
The visit comes after continuous rains triggered flash floods and cloudbursts in several parts of Kullu district.
HPSDRF's prompt intervention is being lauded as a timely step to prevent further distress.
The Chief Minister’s Office and senior officials including DGP Satwant Atwal and Emergency Operation Centre teams are closely monitoring the situation.
