SHIMLA: The social worker and Aam Aadmi Party worker from Rajgarh Surjeet Singh Thakur has been appointed as President of Himachal Pradesh's new unit as old state executive has been dissolved
Addressing the press conference here Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today announced the new state body with Dr Sandeep Pathak as the incharge of the Himachal affairs.
Sisodia said that the AAP organizational teams have been put in place and will be working for promoting the Arvind Kejriwal Model of development in Himachal Pradesh by ousting BJP from power in the coming state assembly polls.
Sisodia said Himachal because of the its natural beauty and topography has a vast tourism potential but the BJP and Congress governments failed to promote tourism and provide jobs to lakhs of youth of Himachal for the last 75 years in the state.
He said the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and BJP have now famed their government as “Nikammi Sarkar” among people, even among villages in the state. They have now decided to show them the door, he claimed.
Sisodia said the AK Model of governance of Delhi has shown that the government schools and hospitals can compete among the best in India in private sector and people of Himachal are convinced after AAP formed its government in Punjab where the same model is being replicated.
Taking a dig at BJP and Prime Minister Narender Modi over the Nupur Sharma episode Sisodia alleged BJP and PM shamed India as small country is showing its eyes to India to seek apology over the remarks made by the BJP spokesperson.
Sisodia said AAP government took action against the Sidhu murder case and three other cases promptly and send the culprits to jail.
Sisodia however was on defensive when asked about ED arrest of Stayenbder Jain in the money laundering case. He alleged BJP was targeting and misusing ED and CBI to frame up its political rivals in false cases.
Sandeep Pathak said the 400 office bearers of the AAP has been put in place up to the block level and we have constituted committees up to the village level. “We have reached over 18000 villages that are there in Himachal Pradesh”.
He claimed new team headed by Surjeet Singh Thakur would work round the clock to oust BJP from power. People of the state have shown doors to Congress in 2017, now they will do the same to BJP as it did nothing for schools, hospitals in the state for the last 5 years as CM spent his time enjoying power here, he claimed.
