Hamirpur: As Lok Sabha elections draw near, Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, has initiated a tour of his home constituency, Hamirpur. Thakur aims to gauge the sentiments of the people while showcasing the accomplishments of the Modi government over the past two decades.
During his visit, Thakur said the recent inauguration of two central schools in Hamirpur by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has given a push to educational development.
He expressed gratitude for the government's focus on education, stating that quality education is paramount for nation-building.
Thakur also lauded the implementation of the new education policy after 34 years, stressing its emphasis on local languages, sports, and skill development.
He cited the establishment of over 10,000 Atal Tinkering Labs and the significant increase in medical colleges and universities as indicators of the government's commitment to education.
Furthermore, Thakur underscored the government's efforts in infrastructure development, including the establishment of central universities and ITIs, medical colleges, and AIIMS institutions in the region.
He expressed optimism about the future, envisioning Hamirpur as a hub of educational and sports excellence in northern India.
