SHIMLA: Bharat Jodo Yatra led by the Senior National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to make its foray into the Dev Bhoomi and Veer Bhoomi of Himachal Pradesh at Manser Toll Plaza in Indora in Kangra district on Wednesday.
State Congress workers, leaders and the Sukhu government and people in general, are set to greet and join Gandhi-in-T shirt in this 'Dev Bhoomi and Virbhoomi s in the winter chill tomorrow.
Rahul Gandhi took the social media by storm by tweeting that Bharat Jodo yatra is against what he allegedly called the “Garibi Badao Nitis” of Prime Minister. Gandhi will cover 24 KM in Himachal Pradesh on foot.
The poor, farmers, small, medium entrepreneurs and unemployed youth of India would be focus of the coming Congress policies in the near future.
He said the OPS is implemented in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and now in Himachal.
The Congress has made a subcommittee to implement ‘Har Ghar Lakshmi’- in which each woman will get Rs 1500 per month- in 30 days time”. Congress means Bharosa".
Rahul Gandhi had launched the Yatra on September 7, 2022 from Kanyakumari to “unite people in the country” against what he charged the atmosphere of fear, violence and hatred under the NDA regime of BJP led government”.
The Yatra completed its 100 days on December 16, 2022. Rahul Gandhi termed the Yatra successful and will continue even after it culminates at Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir in days to come”.
“The Yatra is a ‘Vichardhara’ of uniting India against the Vichardhara of divisive politics of the BJP and RSS”, he told the media in Punjab today.
Accompanied by state party incharge Rajiv Shukla, state president Pratibha Singh and others, Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited Manser Toll Plaza near Indora, the venue of the entry point of 'Bharat Jodo Yatra'.
He also visited the proposed venue of the public meeting at Malot village in Indora and reviewed the preparations.
Chief Minister issued necessary directions to the officers to make foolproof arrangements so that minimum inconvenience is caused to the general public.
He also directed the party workers to ensure to make this event a memorable one.
