Nadda Slams Congress: "I Can Fix Eyes, But I Can’t Give Vision"
Bilaspur: BJP National President and Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda launched a scathing attack on Congress, calling it a party suffering from “mental bankruptcy” that has now been reduced to just “a brother-sister-mother party.”
Addressing a BJP rally in Bilaspur, he accused the Himachal Pradesh Congress government of running on sheer luck, with no real governance or development.
"BJP Sent Funds, Congress Blew It on Salaries"
Nadda alleged that while the BJP government at the Centre sent funds for housing and road construction, the Congress government misused it to pay salaries and pensions.
He argued that when power falls into the wrong hands, such mismanagement is inevitable.
Where Was Congress During the Disaster?
Nadda questioned whether any senior Congress leader visited Himachal during the recent disasters.
“These leaders come here for vacations, but when people needed them, they were nowhere to be seen,” he said, contrasting it with BJP leaders like himself, Anurag Thakur, and Jairam Thakur, who visited multiple times and secured relief funds from the Centre.
"Congress Leaders Are Illiterate"
Taking a direct dig, Nadda called Congress leaders "uneducated", saying, “I am the Health Minister, I can fix eyes, but I can’t give vision. Congress leaders are blind to reality.”
Himachal’s Healthcare Crisis
He boasted of BJP’s contributions, citing AIIMS, PGI satellite center, four medical colleges, a mother & child hospital, a cancer center, and a super-specialty block.
He also attacked the state government for failing to effectively run the Himcare scheme, which he claimed still has ₹355 crore in pending dues.
Ram Mandir, Article 370, and BJP’s "Vision"
Nadda highlighted BJP’s ideological legacy, claiming that Syama Prasad Mukherjee quit Congress to fight for the removal of Article 370, which the Modi government scrapped in 2019.
He also linked BJP to the construction of the Ram Mandir, calling it a historic milestone.
"Congress Writes Stories of Destruction"
Mocking the Congress-led government, he said the situation in Himachal has become so absurd that "investigations are being ordered on chickens and samosas."
He declared that Congress can only write stories of destruction, while BJP builds narratives of development.
"Rashtrapati Bhavan Now Belongs to the People"
Nadda also praised the Modi government for "democratizing the Rashtrapati Bhavan," saying it no longer belongs to an elite few but to the people of India.
He honored Padma Shri awardee Hariman Bhai and called it a testament to India’s changing landscape.
