BJP Chief Jagat Prakash Nadda at Vijaya Sankalp rally at Kaza on October 30

SHIMLA: National Leadership of BJP almost rained a fleet of choppers carrying its Campaign leaders and  launched its first  “doubled-edged big assault” against Congress - #BJP Vijay Sankalp Rallies’- in all 68 assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh and on social Media in support its official candidates.

Led by BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, BJP leaders hopped in and out from Choppers to the venues of Vijay Sankalp rallies across 68 constituencies in its bid to create a political  smokescreen in its favour.

BJP leaders pontificated its “main poll mantra of double engine government” among the karyakartas and the voters in its bid to retain power in Himachal Pradesh.

Jagat Prakash Nadda and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur have emerged as the "BJP's double engine face" in this elections as BJP has pushed Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal to the sidelines.

Nadda launched the Vijay Sankalp rallies in Kaza in tribal Lahaul-Spiti and Kullu Sadar seats in support of its party candidates.

At the same time BJP was quick to pacify its few rebels to undo the damage they were likely do to its official candidates.

They are -Hiralal, Vijay Parmar, Arun Falta,  Hemraj Gautam- who were made as mandal presidents, while Harpreet Singh Saini, (Nalagarh), Madhu Sharma (Dehra) and Brijesh Lal (Rampur) have been appointed as members of the BJP's state executive.

Nadda attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s #Bharat Jodo Yatra saying Congressmen are on #Congress Chhoro andolan and were joining BJP as they are fed up with its #Congress Parivarvad”.

Nadda counted achievements of the “Double engine government” under Prime Minister Narender Modi and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur in Himachal Pradesh. Nadda explained what “double engine means” -BJP at center and state-   and how it has performed in UP, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Northeast.

Nadda said Modi is the first Prime Minister who has created “pro-incumbency” factor changing anti-incumbency to change political #Riwaj in Himachal as well as BJP did in Uttarakhand, Haryana and UP and Manipur and Goa.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched election campaign in Churah in Chamba and launched attack against the Congress saying that BJP government changed Riyaj of political vendetta, launched schemes that benefitted each section.

And BJP will now change the "Rivaj of change of government" this time by coming back to power, Thakur claimed and took a bow and arrow in a gesture to hit the target.

Apart from Nadda,  BJP senior leaders Shanta Kumar(Sulah) and former Chief Minister Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal (Sujanpur) addressed one rally each there.

But quietness of  Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal, who had acceptability across the state is likely to show up its outcome in the polls, said his supporters.

BJP rained choppers carrying two neighbouring Chief Ministers Pushkar Singh Dhami(Uttarakhand) in Chopal, Nerwa, Manohar Lal Khattar(Haryana)  Nahan, union ministers- Anurag Thakur,  Dr Kiren Rijiju (Haroli Una), Jitendra Singh(Sundarnagar),  BJP Mahila Chief Vaniti Srinivasan in Shimla rural,     Avinash Rai Khanna, Sanjay Tandon, Dushayant Singh, Mangal Pandey, Tejashwi Surya covered other constituencies by addressing "Vijay Sankalp abhiyaan".

Commenting on the rallies, BJP State President Suresh Kashyap claimed  that Himachal Pradesh has witnessed amazing enthusiasm about the “Vijay Sankalp campaign”.

This was the biggest “Abhiyan” after the election code of conduct and the start of campaign.

He said that the double engine government has done a good job in Himachal Pradesh, which has directly benefited the people.

This shows the love and determination of Prime Minister Narender Modi and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur towards the people Himachal.

BJP does what it says, Congress only shows dreams to the people.

Kashyap said Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur comes from an ordinary family and today he is the Chief Minister of the state, it is only the Bharatiya Janta Party where the leadership emerges from the grassroots.

But it remains to be seen as to how Congress and even lackluster AAP respond to BJP's assault.

Will the voters mainly the estranged employees, farmers and youth will be be swayed by this political extravaganzas?

But live streaming of rallies on social media revealed a mixed response from netizens.

The polls results will only be a true judge. BJP is upbeat and so is Congress likely to launch the counter attack- Congress Parivartan Pratigya Rallies- starting from Paddal Maidan of Mandi town to be launched by AICC leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra  on October 31.
