Union Home Minister India Amit Shah in Siuhta in Chamba district

SHIMLA/CHAMBA: Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Siuhta in Chamba, Bhattakufar in Shimla and at Karsog declared that the double engine government would make Himachal Pradesh a Drug-free State for a secure future of the youth of the state if the people re-elect the BJP to power on November 12.

Amit Shah reiterated this resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing his first three aggressive Vijay Sankalp rallies  in Himachal Pradesh at  Siuhta  in Bhattiyat constituency of Chamba district in support of its candidate Vikram Singh Jaryal at Karsog in support of Deep Raj and at Bhattakufar in Shimla in support of Suresh Bhardwaj on Tuesday.

Later in the evening, Amit Shah  took stock of  the current status of the BJP in the polls and impact of the Vijay Sankalp rallies.

He reviewed  the output at the high level meeting with Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, union IB minister Anurag Singh Thakur, state president Suresh Kashyap, incharge of Himachal affairs and mandal presidents and other office bearers at Peterhoff in Shimla.

BJP consider these seats 'weak' and Shah launched aggressive campaigns in his bid to tilt the balance in favour of these three candidates.

Amit Shah said  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed to make Bharat a drug-free country in due course of time for a secure future of youth of the country.

On the other hand, Congress could not fulfill its guarantees in its last 60 years of rule, what is expected of them today is clear, he claimed.

If the  people of the state  change the Rivaaj and reelect the BJP under  Jai Ram Thakur back to power, the Double engine government would make Himachal  a drug free state, Shah claimed.

Amit Shah said Modi made India as one of world's  leading economies, launched corona vaccines to vaccinate 130 Crore people for free, strengthened health and highways infrastructure, gave free ration to millions, kisan samaan  nidhi to farmers and made toilets across the country.

Modi did in eight years what the Congress regimes could not do in 60 years. The difference is clear and it has caught the fancy of the people of Himachal as well, Shah said.

Congress ruled the country by doing the politics of appeasement and votebanks, Shah charged. In contrast, BJP do the politics of development and performance, he claimed.

Shah took a dig at Senior Congress leaders- Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi at the Centre and Pradesh president, Pratibha Singh and Shimla rural sitting MLA, Vikramaditya Singh, son of former six-time Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh  in Himachal Pradesh.

Shah charged: "Congress in Delhi has remained to be as a " Ma-Betai  Ki Party". Congress is no different in Himachal as well" .

Amit Shah said Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched AIIMS Bilaspur, Bande Bharat express train from Una, Bulk Drug park Haroli, medical device park  Nalagarh  that would provide jobs to the youth of the state.

Shah also counted various schemes launched by the Chief Minister Jai Ram thakur during his 5 years term. Shimla is smart city and double engine government will take  the development  of the  state to next level, he added.

"I watched the speeches of both BJP and Congress leaders, but Congress could not cite big projects for Himachal Pradesh", he claimed.

Shah said BJP has changed Rivaaj in Himachal. "Today Lal and Hari  Topis belong to BJP so is the case with Upper or lower Himachal of Congress as both belong to BJP", he remarked, referring to red topi that BJP leader Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal prefer and the green topi  that usually former Chief Minister  late  Virbhadra Singh used to wear.

"Generally BJP sent me to constituencies where candidates are weak, but   I am seeing here in Bhattiyat   I am  addressing the public meeting where Jaryal is winning", Shah claimed  making a political turnaround.

Amit Shah  invoked Ram Mandir of Ayodhya, Kashi Vishwanath, Ujjain, Char Dham projects as shining example of  Hindutva  under the Modi’s government.

He also invoked Mani Mahesh to strike chord with locals in Chamba, who worship him as their presiding Deity.

Shah charged the previous Congress governments tried to neglect and destroy these centres of Hindu’s faith.

He charged the previous Dr Manmohan Singh government was weak and country suffered a lot.

Shah made no mention of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra and Congress'  Parivartan Sankalp rallies being held in the state.

Shah said as soon as Prime Minister Modi took over they scrapped article 370, 35 A and sent a strong message to the Pak-sponsored terrorism by launching surgical strike to break the backbone of the terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
