Former Congress MLA Subhash Chand Manglet Joins BJP Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections....
SHIMLA: In a significant development, former MLA Subhash Chand Manglet from Chopal, Himachal Pradesh, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The announcement was made today at the BJP Central Office in New Delhi, in the presence of BJP Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Mahajan.
He was given membership of the party by BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda.
Manglet, who hails from Chopal area in Shimla, decided to switch allegiance to BJP.
He had previously served as an independent MLA and later joined the Congress party.
During his tenure with Congress, Manglet had worked closely with former CM late Virbhadra Singh.
He also held prominent positions such as Chairman of the Marketing Board during the previous Virbhadra Congress government.
Expressing his commitment to BJP's vision under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National President JP Nadda, Manglet emphasized his dedication towards contributing to the development journey of the nation.
He pledged to work tirelessly to achieve the goal of a developed India by 2047, aligning with BJP's ideology and initiatives.
Manglet's decision to join BJP is seen as a setback for Congress in the Chopal region ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Harsh Mahajan said His entry into BJP strengthens the party's foothold in the area and underscores the growing support for BJP among various sections of society.
