HARIDWAR: In a major breakthrough against vehicle theft, Kotwali Jhabreda police arrested two suspected vehicle thieves and recovered 19 stolen motorcycles allegedly based on information provided by the accused.
Police cracked the case by scrutinising footage from around 500 CCTV cameras, tracking the movements of the suspects and identifying their whereabouts. The surveillance-led investigation eventually helped the police team reach the accused and make the arrests.
Further investigation is underway to establish the ownership and details of the recovered motorcycles and identify other possible persons linked to the theft network.
After an extensive CCTV trail and sustained investigation, the suspected vehicle thieves finally landed in the police net.
