Himachal SDM Booked for Sexual Exploitation
Una, September 24: A sensational case has rocked Himachal’s bureaucracy after a national-level sportsperson accused Una SDM of sexually exploiting her on the pretext of marriage. She also alleged that he made an objectionable video of her.
The police said a case has been registered under relevant sections after the woman lodged a complaint.
According to SP Una, the woman alleged that the officer lured her into a relationship promising marriage, but later backed off.
Police today recorded the statement of the woman before the court, strengthening the investigation.
The SDM, who is a 2017 batch topper of the state civil services, is currently untraceable. Police teams are on the lookout for him.
“The matter is sensitive and serious. We are investigating on priority,” SP Una confirmed.
The incident has sent shockwaves across the administrative circles, raising questions about the conduct of officers entrusted with public service.
