ASSWF Team Scales Mount Deo Tibba (6,001 m) in Pir Panjal Range

In a remarkable achievement for Indian mountaineering, the Atulniya Shiv Shagun Welfare Foundation (ASSWF) team has successfully scaled Mount Deo Tibba (6,001 m) in the Pir Panjal Range near Manali.
The expedition, organized in collaboration with Ibex Himalaya, Manali, culminated in a successful summit within the September 22–October 1, 2025 window.
The mission was conducted under the overall supervision of Major General Atul Kaushik, Director of ASSWF, with Mr. Tikkam Ram (Rajat Thakur) leading the ascent and Ayush Rajput coordinating the team’s operations.
The summit team, comprising Aman Thakur, Monu Thakur, and Rinku Thakur (logistics in-charge), reached the top in favorable weather conditions, marking a proud moment for the foundation and the local mountaineering community.
Located near Manali, Mount Deo Tibba is one of the most prominent peaks in the Pir Panjal Range, standing tall at 6,001 metres and flanked by the equally majestic Indrasen Peak.
Major General Kaushik lauded the team’s effort, emphasizing the spirit of teamwork, endurance, and discipline that defined the expedition.
“This successful summit reflects our commitment to promoting adventure sports, resilience, and Himalayan exploration,” he said.
ASSWF expressed gratitude to Ibex Himalaya, Manali, and all local partners for their invaluable support in ensuring the expedition’s safety and success.
