SHIMLA: Apart from attacking Aam Aadmi Party in a Congress bastion in the absence of Former Chief Minister, Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today in Nadaun announced the opening of Government degree college at Galore, Jal Shakti division and the Rs 26 Crore River rafting complex at Nadaun. He initiated projects worth Rs 287 Crore in his bid to turn tables in Nadaun, a constituency, which remains the bastion of former Congress president Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Thakur inaugurated and laid foundation stone of 46 developmental projects worth about Rs. 287 crore at Pansai ground in Nadaun assembly constituency of Hamirpur district today while Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal, the two times Chief Minister whose main political Karambhumi is Hamirpur, which he took to new heights of development and Hamirpur MP and Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur were conspicuous by their absence in CM’s function.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur also announced construction of Science Lab in Government Senior Secondary Schools Nadaun and Jalari, starting of Science classes in Government Senior Secondary Schools Choru and Batran and Commerce classes in Government Senior Secondary School Upper Hareta and upgradation of Government High School Pansai to Government Senior Secondary School
Chief Minister also announced Rs. 10 lakh for development of Mela ground at Pansai, opening of patwar circles at Bela Barmoti and Majholi, opening of two Health Sub Centres in Nadaun Assembly Constituency and conversion of two temporary Police Posts into Permanent Police Posts in the constituency.
Jai Ram Thakur said the present State Government has ensured equitable and balanced development of every area of the State, about two years of the present State Government was affected due to corona pandemic, but the Government saved precious lives and ensured that pace of development goes uninterrupted during the period.
Chief Minister said that the present State Government during its tenure has constructed a record length of roads in the state, record number of bridges were built and record number of villages were connected with roads. He said that the Congress has completely lost its base in the country as well as the State. He said that the Congress leaders were only day dreaming to come into power in the State.
Jai Ram Thakur reiterated announcements he made on Himachal Day- No bill would be charged from electricity consumers consuming less than 125 units of power per month.
He said that 50 percent concession would also be provided in bus fare to the women in HRTC buses and no water bill would be charged from consumers of rural areas.
Referring to the AAP’s Supremo Arvind Kejriwal comments that BJP was copying Delhi model in Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur said AAP has no base in Himachal and the party whose top office bearers desert the party, what kind of future or relevance it would have here. AAP has crash-landed even before the take-off, he commented.
Jai Ram Thakur kept Prime Minister Narendra Modi in focus among the crowd as a real benefactor of Himachal.
He said PM gave his message and greeted Himachal people on Himachal Day that spoke volumes for his concern for Himachal.
Instead of Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal and Anurag Singh Thakur, Chief Minister was accompanied by newly elected Rajya Sabha MP Prof Sikender Kumar and local BJP Nadaun and Hamirpur leaders.
He also inaugurated Rs. 2.82 crore bridge over Man khad on Baran Gawalpaher road, Rs. 2.19 crore bridge on Kangoo Malag Khatrod road via Charada, Rs. 63 lakh 30 meter span box girder on Kai Di Bahal-Khatrod-Panyali-Jattan road and other projects in the constituency.
Chief Minister laid foundation stones of Rs. 1.28 crore Science Lab at GSSS Dhaneta, Rs. 1.46 crore Science Lab at GSSS Badaran, Rs. 5 crore Degree College building at Dhaneta and other projects to project that his government discriminate against Nadaun despite it is represented by Congress.
Jai Ram Thakur also laid foundation stones of Rs. 3.80 crore providing of household connections under 'Har Ghar Nal Se Jal' scheme under LWSS Sai Matwar in Nadaun Constituency, Rs. 3.04 crore providing of household connections under 'Har Ghar Nal Se Jal' scheme under LWSS Kohla Kaloor Choa Chakrala in Nadaun and a host of other schemes.
Prof. Sikander Kumar said he is an academician and this was only possible in BJP where a common man can become an MP.
Vice-chairman HRTC and former MLA Nadaun Vijay Agnihotri, ticket contender from Nadaun said the area has witnessed unparalleled development during the last about four and a half years. Work on Dhaula Sidh Power Project on the Beas river is also going on in the constituency, he added and raised certain demands of the area.
