Niti Extreme Ultra Run 2026 Scripts a New Golden Chapter in Uttarakhand’s Adventure Tourism History

Dehradun: Hundreds of runners from across India participated in the Niti Extreme Ultra Run 2026, making the high-altitude endurance event a grand success and adding a new golden chapter to Uttarakhand’s adventure tourism history.

Held in the picturesque and strategically important Niti Valley of Chamoli district, the ultra run tested the endurance of participants against the backdrop of the majestic Himalayas.

The event brought together athletes, adventure enthusiasts, and nature lovers, showcasing the immense potential of Uttarakhand as a world-class destination for adventure sports and eco-tourism.

Congratulating the participants and organizers, said the event reflects Uttarakhand's growing stature as the adventure tourism capital of India.

 He said the state government is committed to promoting sustainable tourism and adventure activities in border and remote regions while creating new livelihood opportunities for local communities.

“The successful organization of the Niti Extreme Ultra Run demonstrates the spirit of adventure, resilience, and determination.

Such events help showcase Uttarakhand’s natural beauty and rich cultural heritage before the world,” Dhami said.

Officials said the event not only promoted fitness and adventure sports but also highlighted the tourism potential of the Niti-Mana region, encouraging visitors to explore the state's lesser-known Himalayan destinations.Headline:
