Shimla: Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Col retd) Dhani Ram Shandil inaugurated a newly constructed Primary Health Center building in Sector-4, New Shimla in the presence of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh.
The newly inaugurated building, constructed at a cost of approximately 55 lakh rupees, is equipped with facilities such as an OPD on the entrance floor, a dispensary and dressing room on the first floor, a labor room and nursing room on the ground floor, and a storage room in the basement.
Dr. Shandil announced the state government's plan to recruit 700 nursing officers to meet the demand for staff nurses at primary health centers.
Anirudh Singh stated that providing better health facilities at the local level is a priority for the government. This initiative aims to reduce crowds in larger hospitals, and in line with this vision, a super-specialty hospital has been constructed.
The local councilor Nisha Thakur, along with other council members, Dr. Ambika Chauhan (Joint Director, Health Department), Dr. Surekha Chopra (Chief Medical Officer), H.R. Thakur (District Health Officer), Mala Singh (President, Green New Shimla Society), Dr. Amar Pal Singh Kochar (Secretary), Anjana Bhandari (President, Resident Welfare Society), Vivek Singh Atri (Secretary), and other dignitaries were present at the occasion.
