Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, a Padamshri and fourtime national film award winner, who hails from Himachal is once again in news: Mumbai police have booked her in connection with her comments on social media charging her of hurting religious feelings of the Sikh community.
According to the reports from agencies, the FIR was lodged today at a Mumbai police station following the complaints lodged by the Delhi Gurudwara Prabandhak committee charging that the actress hurt the religious sentiments of Sikh community by her “derogatory post she put on social media, terming the protesting farmers “Khalistani”.
After the Prime Minister Narender Modi announced the repeal of the three controversial farm laws, Kangana Ranaut allegedly made comment on the protesting farmers dubbing them “Khalistani” of Khalistani movement”.

Kangana Ranaut has a huge fan following in the country and in her home state, but they stand divided along the political lines as Kangana has been toeing pro-saffron line in her controversial comments on the “freedom and Azadi” and Shiv Sena leaders.
BJP MP Varun Gandhi had lambasted her " Bhik comments on Freedom" India attained in 1947, terming it seditious. The comments had unleashed a war on social media with her opponents demanding recall of her Padamshri award for allegedly "insulting the freedom fighters".
She had commented at the TV show that real freedom came in 2014 indirectly referring to the NDA-I government led by the Prime Minister Narender Modi- a comment earned ire of the freedom fighters and the opposition parties in the country.
