Shimla- In a green and exciting initiative, Himachal Amateur Cycling Association (HSTPA) joined hands with the Recycling Association of Coastal Region (CAHP) to organize a cycling school program at Shimla Public School.
The aim was to inspire students and create awareness about the benefits of cycling for both personal health and the environment.
The event held in the premises of Shimla Public School, focused on introducing students in grades 7 to 10 to the joy and advantages of cycling.
The program sought to instill a sense of responsibility towards health, the environment, sports, and mobility in the young participants.
To ensure the success of the program, HASTPA, along with a team of professional riders, national regents, and enthusiastic volunteers, curated a series of engaging activities.
These activities included an informative audio-visual presentation highlighting the various benefits associated with cycling.
The response from the students of Shimla Public School was overwhelming, showcasing their eagerness to embrace cycling as a part of their daily lives.
The event also emphasized the urgent need to address environmental concerns, particularly the escalating pollution levels affecting our surroundings.
Delighted with the enthusiastic participation of the students, HASTPA's President and Founder, Mohit Sud expressed his satisfaction in collaborating with CAHP to raise awareness about cycling in Shimla's schools.
Sud further announced plans to establish a cycling lab within the school, aiming to foster a deeper understanding of cycling and its positive impact on individuals and the community.
Pritinder Singh, Director of Shimla Public School, also shared his support for the program. Singh emphasized the importance of leading a healthy and active lifestyle and pledged to encourage such initiatives within the school.
The event witnessed the presence of esteemed personalities in the cycling community, including school Principal Sarla Kanth, Yugal Thakur, a National Silver Medalist from the SITAPA Action Team, Cyrus Moni and Pooja Thakur, among others.
Their expertise and involvement added a touch of inspiration to the program, motivating the young participants to embrace cycling as an enjoyable and beneficial activity.
