Haridwar: Thousands of pilgrims from across India converged on the holy banks of the Ganges in Haridwar today to take a sacred dip on the auspicious occasion of Magh Purnima.

 The ghats of Har Ki Pauri and others were flooded with devotees, enveloping the atmosphere with an overwhelming sense of devotion.

The Uttarakhand Police made extensive efforts to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of the event, guiding people to bathe safely and facilitating their onward journey to their destinations.
