KOTKHAI: IN a display of devotion,  locals of Jubbal-Kotkhai and Theog came together to celebrate the sacred ceremony of Dom Devta of Sharmala Pratishtha  in Shimla district today. Dom Devta gets his revamped temple treasury in Pratishtha ceremonized here today at Sharmala.

The congregation, attended by a large number of locals, was graced by the presence of the Education Minister, Rohit Thakur, who actively participated in the festivities.

The ceremony was not just a religious event but a live example of the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh. 

Rohit Thakur, during his address, emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the state's divine culture in the modern era.

He believed that in the current age of global competition, the Dev Sanskriti could provide the youth with inspiration and help them overcome challenges.

Thakur extended a special invitation to the younger generation, urging them to draw inspiration from Dev Sanskriti and ensure that this heritage continues to shine as a legacy for generations to come in the unique land of the gods, Himachal.

Thakur engaged with the local deities and wholeheartedly participated in the Mahasu Natti, spreading his good wishes for the bright future of the region's people.

Furthermore, he shared that the state government is committed to the restoration of ancient temples, as it believes that this will foster mutual respect and faith, as well as inspire the youth to engage in positive endeavors.

The ceremony was attended by  Kuldeep Rathaur, the MLA from Theog, Kehar Singh Khachi, the Chairman of the State Forest Corporation, Deepak Rathaur, the leader of the Congress Party, and various party officials, officers, and activists.

This grand celebration of faith and culture not only strengthened the connection of the people with their roots but also provided an opportunity for the community to come together and create a brighter future for Himachal Pradesh.
