Shimla- Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was warmly welcomed upon his return to Shimla from Delhi today. Congress party enthusiasts adorned his route from Hotel Marina to Oak Over with flower showers, accompanied by rhythmic drum beats.

Sukhu came back to Shimla today  after recovering from the brief illness at AIIMS New Delhi where he was undertreatment for over a week. 

In a brief interaction with the media, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the support and well-wishes he received during his recovery.

Despite doctors' recommendations for rest and a proper diet, he affirmed his commitment to fulfilling his governmental duties.

Highlighting the state government's resolve, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu outlined a four-year goal to make Himachal Pradesh self-reliant and the most prosperous state in the country within the next decade.

A cabinet meeting is scheduled for November 18 to further these efforts.

The Chief Minister thanked cabinet members and officers for responsibly managing duties during his brief absence. While he declared his non-participation in election campaigns across five states, he expressed confidence in the Congress party's victory in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections.

Extending Diwali greetings, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu wished the people joy and prosperity, reiterating his commitment to advancing the state's development agenda.

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Health Minister Colonel Dhani Ram Shandil, Industries Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan, Education Minister Rohit Thakur, Rural Development Minister Anirudh Singh, and other dignitaries  attended the occasion.

The Chief Minister's political advisor, Sunil Sharma, Principal Advisor (Media) Naresh Chauhan, Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, and various officials were also present.
