SHIMLA: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today has directed administrative secretaries to expedite key government schemes, ensuring swift public benefit.
Charing the meeting of departmental secretaries here today he hold discussions centered on flagship programs, budget announcements, and August 15 declarations.
CM Sukhu urged timely action rather than delays. The government's commitment to transparent and corruption-free governance was total, he emphasized.
Integration of advanced technology in government operations, such as Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School establishment, UV water treatment, tourism promotion, and robotic surgery introduction, was discussed. Adherence to timelines for project implementation was stressed.
CM Sukhu announced regular Monday meetings to sustain progress. Robotic surgery launch at IGMC Shimla and Chamiana Super Specialty hospital, beginning at Tanda Medical College, was outlined.
The Adarsh Swasthya Sansthan scheme has already appointed specialists in 36 rural health institutions, with more to come by year-end. Timely forest clearances to prevent project delays were highlighted.
Reforms within departments like Revenue and Police for enhanced transparency were mentioned. Relief efforts in disaster-stricken areas and drainage improvements in hilly regions were addressed.
Critical projects like the Bulk Drug Park and Medical Device Park were discussed, with CM Sukhu allocating Rs. 3000 crore for Kangra's tourism development.
Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, Principal Secretary Onkar Chand Sharma, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Bharat Khera, and other administrative secretaries were present in the meeting.
