Shimla: In a groundbreaking move ahead of the festive season, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has launched an array of new products by the Himachal Pradesh State Milk Producers Federation Limited (MILKFED) at Oak Over today.

The exciting lineup includes gift packs, wedding bhaji, and sugar-free sweets that are set to delight the masses.

The new gift packs come in three sizes, with prices set at Rs. 620, Rs. 1000, and Rs. 1500, making them accessible to all.

They will be readily available at MILKFED sales centers and district headquarters across the state.

The Chief Minister has personally urged MILKFED to tailor its products to meet market demands and assured full government support in ensuring top-notch quality.

The ambitious plans include a cutting-edge milk processing plant in Dagwar, Kangra district, with a budget of around Rs. 226 crore, set to produce a variety of milk products.

Moreover, advanced technology will be harnessed in other plants as well, enhancing production capabilities.

The Congress Party's manifesto commitment to purchase cow milk at Rs. 80 per kg and buffalo milk at Rs. 100 per kg from farmers has prompted the modernization of the Milkfed plant, as confirmed by Sh. Sukhu.

Dr. Vikas Sood, the Managing Director of MILKFED, has underscored the organization's unwavering commitment to maintaining exceptional quality in all its products.

Recognizing the growing demand for sugar-free sweets, MILKFED has introduced these delectable offerings.

Additionally, an impressive array of treats including Milk Cake, Pahadi Barfi, Coconut Barfi, and 16 other delightful sweets will soon grace the market.

This momentous event saw the presence of Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan, Director of Information and Public Relations Rajiv Kumar, and several other dignitaries.

The launch of these new offerings by MILKFED promises to add an extra layer of sweetness to the upcoming festive season in Himachal Pradesh.
