Docs protests in Kolkata

New Delhi: Health institutions and hospitals across India are returning to normalcy as the United Doctors Front Association (UDFA) and other doctors organizations have called off its nationwide strike.

This decision follows the Supreme Court's move to include UDFA as a key stakeholder in the National Task Force (NTF) tasked with addressing issues concerning resident doctors.

Dr. Lakshya Mittal, National President of UDFA, stated that while the Central Protection Act (CPA) remains a top priority, the association is committed to presenting all concerns of resident doctors through the NTF.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is set to hear the case on August 26, where the CBI will submit a status report on the investigation into the heinous rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata, a case that has shaken the medical fraternity.
