Tragedy in Hathras: Stampede at Baba Jatav Satsang Claims 121 Lives, Leaves 28 injured,   Nation Grieving...

Hathras, (UP) agencies— In a heart-wrenching disaster, a stampede during a satsang in Hathras has claimed 121 lives and left 28 others injured, casting a pall of grief over the nation.

As Bhole Baba  named as Narayan Saakar Hari appeared there was stampeded for touching the feet of the Baba that resulted in the deaths of his Andh Bhakts. 

There were over 2 lakh people assembled for the Satsang said  DM in his statement and he was also present. 

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the site, offering solace to the families of the victims and meeting with the injured survivors.

The stampede, which occurred during a spiritual gathering at a local satsang, has shaken the entire country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow and extended his condolences, stating, "This tragic event in Hathras is a profound loss for the nation. My thoughts are with the bereaved families and those who are injured."

CM Adityanath, visibly moved, visited the affected families, providing both emotional and financial support.

“We stand with the families in this moment of grief. Immediate assistance and medical care are being provided to all survivors,” he assured, while directing officials to expedite aid and ensure proper treatment for the injured.

Eyewitnesses recount scenes of chaos as the large crowd, gathered for spiritual blessings, turned into a frantic rush when panic spread.

Among the casualties are men, women, and children, all who came seeking spiritual solace, only to face an unimaginable disaster.

Local authorities and rescue teams, working through the night, managed to save several lives, but the scope of the tragedy is overwhelming.

Baba conducting the satsang is reportedly absconding, adding to the distress and raising questions about the Satsang's organization and safety measures.

Baba named as Bhole Baba Surajpal Jatav, runs his palatial Ashram on 30 Acre Land and owns a fleet of luxury cars.

Baba has faced an avalanche of  trolls on social media.  He was in jail and was reported to have come back to the Ashram. 

As the community mourns, the focus now shifts to supporting the victims’ families and preventing such disasters in the future.

The state government has announced compensation for the families of the deceased and the injured, and an inquiry has been launched to investigate the causes and ensure accountability.

But the UP Police has not named Baba in the FIR so far. 

This tragedy not only highlights the urgent need for stringent safety protocols at large gatherings but also underscores the collective grief and resilience of the nation as it rallies to support those affected.
