Kullu, Oct 18 – Himachal Pradesh promoted its business potential at the International Kullu Dussehra Festival in Kullu hardselling various investment opportunities to the six ambassadors here today.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu hosted an Ambassadors Meet during the festival and invited the investors to Himachal Pradesh.
Ambassadors from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan , Brunei, Russia, and Guyana attended the event.
The Chief Minister invited global investors to explore opportunities in tourism, green energy, data storage, and food processing.
He outlined the state's vision to become self-reliant by 2027 and a 'Green Energy State' by March 2026.
Sukhu stressed that the government is taking transformative steps to meet these goals.
Tourism remains a priority, with new destinations being developed.
Activities like Shikara rides, jet skiing, and cruises are in the works to boost tourism.
Kullu, known for its adventure sports, continues to be a major attraction for global tourists.
The Chief Minister announced that Kangra has been declared the 'Tourism Capital' of Himachal Pradesh.
A Rs. 619 crore Zoological Park is being developed in Bankhandi to attract more visitors.
Infrastructure projects like the expansion of Kangra Airport and the construction of heliports are also underway.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sunder Singh Thakur emphasized the significance of cultural exchanges.
He said Kullu Dussehra unites people globally, with performances from Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Russia, and the USA.
Director of Tourism, Vivek Bhatia, presented the state's initiatives to strengthen tourism infrastructure.
