SHIMLA: Apart from giving approval to fill up hundreds of posts and enhancing scholarships to all categories, State Cabinet meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur decided that the State Government would ensure jobs to the ‘Agniveers’, even as the scheme is facing stiff opposition.

The Cabinet gave its approval to engage 3970 Para Workers (i.e. 1146 Para Pump Operators, 480 Para Fitters and 2344 Multi Purpose Workers) on honorarium basis (six hourly per day) in Jal Shakti Department for departmental schemes across the State as per the Para Worker Policy of the Department.

It gave its consent to fill up 389 posts of Panchayat Secretaries in Panchayati Raj Department through Staff Selection Board through direct recruitment on contract basis.

The Cabinet gave its approval to create 124 new posts and fill up 40 posts of Technical Assistants in Panchayati Raj Department through Staff Selection Board through direct recruitment on contract basis.

It also gave approval to fill up 124 posts of Gram Rojgar Sewaks for newly constituted Gram Panchayats through selection committee.

The Cabinet gave its approval for creating and filling up of 73 posts of Police personnel in State Excise Department for effective implementation of Excise NDPS and other regulatory legislations.

This would not only safeguard Government revenue but also re-assert Government’s commitment to combat drug menace in a holistic manner.

In order to ensure free and fair conduction of examinations, the Cabinet decided that the recruitment/examination conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur would be brought under the preview of the HP Prevention of Mal Practice at University Board or other specified examination Act, 1984.

The cabinet gave its approval to open new sub tehsil at Jalag in Tehsil Jaisinghpur in Kangra district to facilitate the people of the area.

It gave approval to amend the Himachal Pradesh Widow Remarriage Rules-2013 by making a provision of providing grant of Rs. 65000 instead of existing Rs.50000 to the couple. 

The Cabinet accorded its approval for renewal of State Government ‘No Default Guarantee’ in favour of Himachal Road Transport Corporation for availing cash credit limit of Rs. 60 crore for financial year 2022-23.

It gave its approval to enhance the state government guarantee amount from Rs.10 crore to Rs. 30 crore in favour of Himachal Pradesh Forest Development Corporation Ltd to avail CCL(cash credit limit) at lower rate  of interest.

Scholarship Enhanced 

The Cabinet also gave its approval to upgrade all the schools as per announcements by Chief Minister at diffrent stages

It give approval to enhance scholarship rates of various scholarship schemes which include enhancing scholarship under Maharshi Valmiki Chhatarvriti Yojna from existing Rs. 9000 to Rs. 18000 per annul. Indira Gandhi Utkrisht Chhatarvriti Yojna for post plus two students from Rs. 10000 to Rs. 18000 per annum. 

Kalpana Chawla Chhatarvriti Yojna from existing Rs. 15000 per annum to Rs. 18000 per annum, Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatarvriti Yojna to SC students from Rs. 12000 to Rs. 18000 per annum. 

Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatarvriti Yojna to  OBC students from existing Rs. 10000 to Rs. 18000 per annum, Swami Vivekanand Utkrishit Chhatarvriti Yojna from Rs. 10000 to Rs. 18000 per annum.

Rashtriya Indian Military College Scholarship from Rs. 20000 to Rs. 24000 per annum, Sainik School Sujanpur Tihra Scholarship would be now Rs. 18000 per annum for all students.

Financial assistance to the children of Armed Force personnel killed/ disabled during the different wars/operations would now be Rs. 18000 per annum.

IRDP/BPL Scholarship now renamed as Mukhya Mantri Vidyarti Kalyan Yojna would now get scholarship ranging from Rs. 1500 per annum to Rs. 6000 per annum.

The Cabinet gave its approval to create two posts of Technical Assistant (Radiation Safety) in the Directorate of Health Safety and Regulation.

It also gave approval to create and fill four posts of Radiographer in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College Tanda in Kangra district on contract basis.

The Cabinet gave its consent to open Primary Health Centre at village Nariwala in Gram Panchayat Ajoli in Sirmour district alongwith creation and filling up of requisite posts.

It gave its approval to upgrade Primary Health Centre Rampur Bushahar in Shimla district to Community Health Centre alongwith creation and filling up of five posts of different categories. .

It gave its approval to open new Division of Jal Shakti Department in Nadaun Vidhan Sabha area of Hamirpur district alongwith creation and filling up of 13 posts of different categories.

The Cabinet also accorded approval to merge Flood Control Sub Division Amb with Jal Shakti Division Amb alongwith staff and infrastructure.

The Cabinet gave approval to open new Government Industrial Training Institute at Dharti Dhar in Renukaji Vidhan Sabha area of Sirmour district alongwith creation and filling up of 14 posts of different categories.

It gave its consent to start B.Tech Computer Sciences & Engineering and M.Tech. in Civil Engineering in Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Engineering College Sundernagar alongwith creation and filling up of 12 posts of different categories.

The Cabinet gave approval to open new Government Industrial Training Institute at Jari in Kullu Vidhan Sabha area of Kullu district.

It gave its approval to start to new trades of Embroidery and Welder in Government ITI Chachiot in Mandi district alongwith four posts of different categories.

In order to encourage innovation and research in Agriculture and Horticulture Sector, the Cabinet gave its approval to provide Research Fund of Rs. Five crore each for Agriculture and Horticulture Universities of the State. 

The Cabinet gave its approval to fill up 30 posts of Sub Inspectors in Police Department (20 Male and 10 Female) through Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection through direct recruitment.

In order to regulate development in a planned and systematic manner, the Cabinet gave its approval to extend the existing Solang Special Area till South Portal of Atal Tunnel.

It gave approval for filling up of 8 posts of different categories in newly upgraded development block Udaipur in Lahaul Spiti district.

The Cabinet gave approval to include nine Gram Panchayats of Naggar development block in Kullu development block for planned development.

It also gave its consent to open Division of Executive Engineer under Zila Parishad Cadre under Panchayati Raj Department in Kutlehar Vidhan Sabha area of Una District alongwith creation and filling up of 12 posts of different categories.

The Cabinet gave its approval to create and fill up 11 posts of different categories for various colleges under Dr. Y.S.Parmar Horticulture & Forestry University Nauni.

The Cabinet decided to upgrade Government Middle School Behli Dhar and  Thach Kuther in Mandi district alongwith creation and filling up of 8 posts of different categories.

The Cabinet decided to increase the honorarium of IT Teachers appointed on Outsource in different schools by Rs. 1000 per month from 1st April, 2022.

It also decided to create six posts of Doctors in ESI Hospital Parwanoo in Solan district.
