HP CM Sukhu opens projects at Hamirpur

Hamirpur- Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's visit to Hamirpur saw the initiation and inauguration of multiple projects to improve ease of living there.

Laying the foundation stones, Chief Minister Sukhu opened Chief Engineer, Jal Shakti Vibhag Hamirpur office, an advanced facility costing Rs. 5.27 crore.

This office will oversee water resource management and administration.

He upgraded the LWSS Hamirpur, which received an investment of Rs. 15 crore.

The objective is to ensure a reliable and clean water supply for the residents.

To improve connectivity, Chief Minister Sukhu laid the foundation stone for the widening and improvement of the Kudihar-Masiana road, with a budget of Rs. 11.36 crore. This project aims to facilitate smoother transportation and boost economic growth.

Chief Minister Sukhu inaugurated the bridge over Sukker Khad, benefitting the residents of Khatwin village. This bridge, built at a cost of Rs. 3.93 crore, enhances accessibility and connectivity.

Furthermore, he inaugurated the H.P. Transport Appellate Tribunal office, streamlining operations and resolving disputes efficiently for transporters.

Underlining the government's commitment to sustainability,  Sukhu inaugurated the solar office of HPPCL at Anu, emphasizing the use of green energy for a sustainable future.

In a tribute to the sacrifices of soldiers, Chief Minister Sukhu laid the foundation stone for the Rs. 67 lakh War Memorial in Hamirpur.

During a press interaction, Chief Minister Sukhu defended senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, highlighting his advocacy for national unity and the country's integrity. He addressed the reinstatement of the old pension scheme, emphasizing its implementation for the well-being of state employees.

Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sunder Singh Thakur, MLAs Inder Dutt Lakhanpal, Ashish Sharma, and Suresh Kumar were also with him.
