Independence Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Himachal Pradesh High Court
Shimla, August 15, 2024 — The High Court of Himachal Pradesh celebrated Independence Day with great fervor today.
The event was marked by the hoisting of the National Flag by Chief Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao, followed by the stirring notes of the National Anthem, performed by the Himachal Pradesh Home Guard Band.
Chief Justice Rao, after unfurling the Tricolor, inspected the Guard of Honour. The celebration saw the presence of several esteemed Judges of the High Court, including Justices Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Vivek Singh Thakur, Ajay Mohan Goel, Jyotsna Rewal Dua, Satyen Vaidya, Sushil Kukreja, Ranjan Sharma, Bipin Chander Negi, and Rakesh Kainthla.
Also in attendance were the Chairperson of the H.P. State Human Rights Commission, Justice P.S. Rana, along with former Judges of the High Court, Justice K.C. Sood and Justice V.K. Sharma.
The event was graced by the Advocate General, senior advocates, members of the High Court Bar Association, the Registrar General, Registrars, and various judicial officers stationed in Shimla.
The celebrations saw enthusiastic participation from officers and officials of the High Court Registry, District Courts Shimla, the Office of the Advocate General, Assistant Solicitor General of India, H.P. Judicial Academy, H.P. State Legal Services Authority, and other offices located within the High Court premises.
The Independence Day event at the High Court highlighted the unity and patriotism of the legal community, as they came together to honor the nation’s 77th year of independence.
