CM Pema Khandu Retains Power in Arunachal Pradesh; SKM Wins Sikkim in Northeastern Himalayan State Elections..
ITANAGAR: In a decisive victory, the BJP has won 46 out of 60 seats in the Arunachal Pradesh state assembly elections.
Other parties also made their mark with the NPP securing 5 seats, NCP winning 3, PPA taking 2, and the INC clinching 1 seat.
"Thank you, Arunachal Pradesh! The people of this wonderful state have given an unequivocal mandate to the politics of development. My gratitude to them for reposing their faith in the BJP yet again. Our party will keep working with even greater vigour for the state’s growth," said an elated Chief Minister Pema Khandu.
Meanwhile, in Sikkim, the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) and CM Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) have triumphed in the assembly elections. "Congratulations to SKM and CM Prem Singh Tamang for their victory in the Sikkim Assembly Elections 2024.
I look forward to working with the State Government to further the progress of Sikkim in the coming times," said PM Narendra Modi.
