In a major crackdown on illegal mining, the Industries Department has imposed fines amounting to ₹5.49 lakh over the past week.
Dr. Yunus, Director of Industries, announced that 184 cases of illegal mining were registered during a statewide campaign launched to curb such activities.
Dr. Yunus highlighted that the department is adopting a zero-tolerance approach toward offenders. “Strict action is being taken, and public participation is being ensured to prevent illegal mining,” he stated.
