Lions Club Shimla Welcomes New Leadership with Bold Plans for 2024-25.
SHIMLA: The Lions Club Shimla held a spirited Board of Directors meeting at Hotel Holiday Home (HHH) in Shimla, celebrating a full house of members as they ushered in their new team for the 2024-25 lionistic year.
In an enthusiastic handover, Lion Vikas Seth passed the baton to Lion Man Mohan Verma, the newly elected president. Joining him are key office bearers: Secretary Lion M.K. Sharma, Treasurer Lion C.L. Sankhyan, Vice Presidents Lion Gopal Vaid and Lion O.P. Mehta, and Joint Secretary Lion S.L. Sharma.
The new directors include Lion P.S. Panwar, Lion D.K. Chauhan, Lion Sufal Sood, Lion D.V. Pathania, Lion Bhavnesh Banga, and Lion Vimal Sood.
In his inaugural address, President Lion Man Mohan Verma shared his vision for the year ahead, highlighting the club's dedication to social betterment. **"We’re committed to uplifting our community with a range of impactful projects,"** Verma emphasized.
"From tree plantation drives and blood donation camps to health check-ups and food for hunger initiatives, we’re here to make a difference."
Other members of the leadership team include Club Service Chairperson Lion Kapil Sood, Club Membership Chairperson Lion K.D. Chandel, Installations Chairperson Lion Ravi Sood, LCIF Coordinator Lion R.K. Jishtu, and Public Relations Officer Lion Umesh Sood.
Lion Verma also outlined plans to enhance the Lions Dialysis Centres in New Shimla, offer ambulance services, and launch educational initiatives for school students.
"We will leave no stone unturned in our quest for a cleaner environment and better community health,"** he affirmed.
The Lions Club Shimla’s new team is set to lead with vigor, aiming to make a significant impact in the community throughout the coming year.
