RURKELA/SHIMLA: National Institute of Technology, Rourkela has achieved a groundbreaking milestone in campus placements for the academic year 2022-23. The institute received an unprecedented 1534 job offers from over 330 renowned companies, reaffirming its position as a top educational institution.

According  to an official release issued today online by its official spokesperson,  more than 95% of students from the flagship B. Tech program secured placements.

The branches like B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, and Ceramic Engineering, along with the Dual Degree in Mining Engineering and Ceramic Engineering, achieved a remarkable 100% placement rate for registered students.

The placements showcased a surge in offers across diverse sectors, with students receiving enticing opportunities in Software and IT Services, Core Engineering, Analytics and Consulting, Electronics, Finance, Education, Design, and Healthcare industries.

Among the success stories, 24 students secured exceptional packages surpassing Rs. 50 LPA, with one student receiving an astounding offer of Rs. 52.89 LPA. The Computer Science Department recorded an impressive average CTC of Rs. 21.87 LPA, while Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics and Communication, and Electrical Department stood strong with average CTAs of Rs. 18.12 LPA, Rs. 17.97 LPA, and Rs. 14.55 LPA, respectively.

NIT Rourkela's commitment to fostering talent, encouraging innovation, and entrepreneurship has resulted in this resounding achievement, NIT faculty members.

The institute's Career Development Centre played a crucial role in facilitating successful placements, and the collaborations with industry partners proved to be highly beneficial for students' internships, projects, and interactions with industry leaders.
