SHIMLA- Shimla Rural Vidhan Sabha constituency is set to take the top spot in the state, declared Public Works and Youth Services and Sports Minister Vikramaditya Singh, who also represents the seat. .
Speaking as the chief guest at a function held in Khatnol, Singh emphasized the government's commitment to achieving balanced development across Himachal Pradesh.
Singh inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various developmental projects worth Rs 10 crore.
These projects included the Government Primary School in Sanahu, along with four other initiatives funded by NABARD: the Khatnol to Dandi Bagh link road, the link road from Jawahar Nagar to Sanahu Shailti, the Animal Hospital building in Devla, and the community building in Bagh Jarola Gram Panchayat Khatnol.
Singh underscored the government's efforts to complete ongoing projects with a strong emphasis on quality.
He mentioned that the state government is focused on expanding the road network, He highlighted the repairs being carried out by the Public Works Department.
In order to steer the youth away from drug abuse, Singh revealed plans to develop sports infrastructure.
He announced the upcoming rural Olympiad, to be held at the state level within the next few months, which will encompass various traditional sports events.
The minister assured that steps would be taken to promote sports across the state, ensuring that talents from all corners of Himachal Pradesh have the opportunity to shine.
During the event, Singh made several announcements.
He allocated a total of Rs 15 lakh for various schemes, providing Rs 5 lakh per panchayat for Khatnol, Deola, and Majhivar gram panchayats.
Furthermore, he declared the construction of the Khatnol to Kamranal road and the Khatnol to village Dalana road on Shali road.
Additionally, a cooperative bank will be opened in Khatnol, and a Public Works Rest House will be established in Jawanagar.
Moreover, a grant of Rs 15 lakh was assigned to three gram panchayats in the fourth pargana for the construction of sports grounds.
Lastly, a grant of Rs 21,000 was announced for the organizers of the Wrestling Dangal Mela in Dhami.
With these initiatives and investments, Shimla Rural aims to become a leading constituency in the state, setting new standards for progress and prosperity, he said.
