Shimla: In a heartfelt farewell at SJVN's Corporate Headquarters, Shimla, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma bid adieu to the SJVN family as he takes on the role of Chairman at Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (HERC).
Sharma's tenure marked remarkable growth for SJVN, expanding its portfolio from 5200 MW to an impressive 59872 MW.
Under his leadership, SJVN achieved exponential growth in various sectors, including Hydro, Thermal, Solar, Wind, Transmission, Consultancy, and Power Trading. The company's share price experienced significant upsurge during his tenure.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma's 34 years of experience in administration and the power sector propelled SJVN towards its ambitious goals – a mission of 12000 MW by 2026, 25000 MW by 2030, and an impressive 50000 MW installed capacity by 2040.
A key highlight of his achievements includes SJVN being certified as a Great Place to Work on January 12, 2024, under his Human Resources initiative. Sh. Nand Lal Sharma's exemplary contributions haven't gone unnoticed; he has been honored with prestigious awards, including an Honorary Doctorate by Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry and recognition from the Prime Minister of Nepal for his efforts in Hydro Power development.
