Shimla, July 6: The Himachal Pradesh government on Monday carried out a bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring and posting 18 IAS officers while reallocating major administrative responsibilities across several departments in a bid to strengthen governance and improve administrative efficiency.
The orders, issued by the Department of Personnel on the recommendations of the Civil Services Board, took immediate effect.
The biggest change saw Dr. Abhishek Jain (IAS-2002), Advisor (Regulatory Reforms) and Principal Secretary handling Finance, Planning, Economics & Statistics, 20-Point Programme, JSV and Technical Education, being given the additional charge of Financial Commissioner (Appeals).
Sudesh Kumar Mokhta (IAS-2010), who had been awaiting posting, was appointed Secretary (Cooperation). Amarjeet Singh (IAS-2010) will now function as Secretary, Town and Country Planning & Housing, while continuing to hold the additional charge of Secretary (Home).
The reshuffle also witnessed changes in several state corporations and field postings. Torul S. Raveesh (IAS-2016) was appointed Director, Land Records, while Abhishek Verma (IAS-2018) will head H.P. MILKFED as its Managing Director.
Ajay Kumar Yadav (IAS-2018) was posted as Managing Director, Himachal Pradesh Medical Services Corporation, while Mahendra Pal Gurjar (IAS-2018) was appointed Director (Personnel & Finance), H.P. Power Transmission Corporation Ltd. Vinay Kumar (IAS-2018) was assigned the additional charge of Managing Director, HP State Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation.
Among district-level officers, Rahul Jain (IAS-2019) was posted as Managing Director of the H.P. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation and Mahila Vikas Nigam, besides being entrusted with additional charge as Registrar of Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, and Administrator of Manav Bharati University.
Divyanshu Singal (IAS-2020) was shifted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development)-cum-Project Director, DRDA, Solan, while Om Kant Thakur (IAS-2020) was posted as Managing Director, H.P. State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation. Gursimar Singh (IAS-2020) will take over as Managing Director, General Industries Corporation Ltd.
The government also reshuffled several field officers. Ishant Jaswal (IAS-2021) was appointed ADC (Development)-cum-Project Director, DRDA, Una, Rupinder Kaur (IAS-2021) as ADC (Development)-cum-Project Director, DRDA, Bilaspur, and Dr. Rajdeep Singh (IAS-2021) as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Solan.
Priyanshu Khati (IAS-2022) was posted as ADC (Development)-cum-Project Director, DRDA, Mandi, while Dr. Anjali Garg (IAS-2023) and Chandra Prakash (IAS-2023) were appointed Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil) at Kangra and Mandi respectively.
The latest reshuffle is aimed at strengthening the administrative machinery by filling key vacancies and realigning responsibilities in important departments, corporations and district-level offices across the state. ####
