Shimla, June 1: Governor Kavinder Gupta on Sunday flagged off the NCC Mt Deo Tibba Expedition-2026 from Lok Bhavan, urging cadets to uphold the values of courage, discipline and teamwork.
He said adventure activities help build leadership, resilience and patriotism among youth.
The Governor also launched the first phase of the Census 2027 Self-Enumeration Campaign in Himachal Pradesh by completing his own digital self-enumeration.
The exercise will run from June 1 to June 15, followed by house-to-house verification from June 16 to July 15.

Appealing to residents to participate actively, Gupta said accurate census data is vital for development planning and effective implementation of welfare schemes.
He urged citizens to complete the process and preserve their Self-Enumeration ID for verification by enumerators.
