HP Police Recruitment: Document Verification Rescheduled Amid Heavy Rains
Shimla, Sept 2: The Himachal Pradesh Police Recruitment Board has postponed the document verification schedule for shortlisted constable candidates in the 2024-25 recruitment drive, citing heavy rains, landslides, cloudbursts, and widespread road damage across the state.
The authorities said the decision was taken to ensure the safety of candidates and staff, and to provide all aspirants a fair chance to appear for the verification process, as many districts remain cut off due to disrupted transport and communication.
The revised verification will now take place between September 24 and 29, 2025, at Police Lines Bharari, Shimla. The fresh schedule is as follows:
Northern Range: Kangra (Sept 24), Chamba (Sept 25), Una (Sept 25)
Central Range: Mandi (Sept 26), Bilaspur (Sept 27), Hamirpur (Sept 27), Kullu (Sept 27)
Southern Range: Shimla (Sept 28), Solan (Sept 28), Kinnaur (Sept 29), Sirmaur (Sept 29)
Officials clarified that no fresh call letters will be issued. The e-call letters already released by the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission will remain valid for the revised dates.
Prem Kumar, IPS, IGP (AP&T)-cum-Liaison Officer of the HP Police Recruitment Board, said the rescheduling was unavoidable given the natural calamities and appealed to candidates to follow the updated timetable.
