HRTC Employees’ 3% DA Hike Announced in October, to Be Released in November: Deputy CM

Shimla, October 30:

The 3% Dearness Allowance (DA) announced in October for Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) employees will now be released in November, the state government confirmed today.

At a meeting with the INTUC-affiliated HRTC Employees Federation, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri directed the HRTC management to release the DA installment and arrears for both serving and retired employees next month.

The Federation, led by Sammer Chauhan, had pressed for parity with other state government employees after the government’s October announcement of a 3% DA hike. They also sought payment of arrears from April 1 to September 30, 2025.

Deputy CM Agnihotri assured that while the release has been deferred till November, the government is fully committed to ensuring all employee dues are cleared without delay.

Federation leaders — Sammer Chauhan, Umesh Sharma, Gialal Thakur, Tikam Chand, Jalam Singh, and Desh Raj — thanked Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and the Deputy CM for approving the hike and scheduling its release.

“This assurance clears the uncertainty and brings relief to thousands of HRTC employees awaiting their DA benefits,” said Federation president Sammer Chauhan.
