This move  is attributed to the pressing concerns of ongoing natural calamities.

Government functions will now steer away from the formal pomp of honor ceremonies until October 31st, 2023.

This decision follows closely on the heels of the suspension of customary guard of honor for very important persons (VVIPs) during field visits, a suspension set to last until September 15th this year.

"We're shifting our focus from mere symbolism to impactful governance," Chief Minister Sukhu emphasized. This shift aligns with the state's commitment to effecting change and embracing a more pragmatic approach to governance.

This decision resonates with those who have longed for a departure from convention and a step toward meaningful reform.

All eyes are now on the state government's endeavors as they work to translate this commitment into actions that make a real difference in the lives of the people.

Until October 31st, the halls of official functions will remain free from the flutter of shawls and the rustle of bouquets, ushering in a new era where deeds take precedence over appearances.
