SIRMAUR / BAHADURGARH — A 45-year-old commercial vehicle conductor from Sirmaur district, identified as Krishna Chand, was killed in a hit-and-run collision along the Kundli–Manesar–Palwal (KMP) Expressway near Asoda Toll Plaza late Saturday night.
A investigating police officer said the incident occurred around 12:30 AM while Chand and driver Hemraj were parked in a roadside bay lane changing a flat tire on their light commercial truck (HP-17G-4217).
A fast-approaching heavy vehicle struck them from behind, crushing Chand on impact and inflicting non-fatal injuries on Hemraj, who was rushed to Civil Hospital in Bahadurgarh.
The officer added that the suspect abandoned their truck at the scene before fleeing on foot, and investigators are currently reviewing highway CCTV footage to track down the driver.
